Laddu the leopard cub looked at the beautiful spots on himself and felt very happy. They were the most perfect spots. Laddu wondered how many spots he had in all but he did not know how to count. So he went to the other animals in the jungle – Mama Monkey, Elephant, Old Boar and Hare. Could they help him? Pattu liked making up songs. He made up songs about everything he saw. He had a song about the man in the moon, about the tall palm trees, about the sleepy owl and the messy dog. Everyone laughed at him. No one ever imagined that Pattu would one day scare off a thief with his songs!
